36 Weeks

How Far Along: 36 Weeks

Size of baby: This weekend the app says watermelon- how can he be a cantaloup one weekend and then a watermelon the next?! Any who, they did not tell me his weight this week. They will estimate it again on my next visit, next Thursday.

Maternity Clothes: Maternity clothes all the time. More and more of my shirts are getting a little short. Its typical that my belly hangs out of whatever I have on when I'm hiding at home.

Gender: Aaron Marcous

Movement: He's still a very active boy!

What I miss: EVERYTHING!!! I'm officially to the point where I am over this whole pregnant thing. I want to be able to get out of bed without huffing and puffing like a fat old man! I want to be able to bend over and pick something up without feeling like I may tip over! I want to not be so tired just getting in and out of the car! I want to stop sweating ALL THE TIME!!! I want this nausea that has shown back up to GO AWAY!!!! Oh yeah, and the heart burn too!! Okay- think thats about it. Sorry getting more and more whinny. Just ask Stephen. He hears it alot.

Sleep: Thats funny! I give up :( Not much consistent sleep this week. Seems to be better after about 3-4 AM which is great as long as I do not have to go to work. But usually only happens if I have had a benadryl or phenergan at some point during the night.

Symptoms: See above- tired, hot, cranky--a real party to be around. May continue to hide out at my house until he comes out cause I'm a little scared of what I will say to people at this point. Trying my very best to be a sweet little southern lady but sometimes its just hard.

Cravings: Not eating as much (lost weight again this week) but yesterday I was taking a nap and dreamed I was eating a whole box of Krispy Kreme by myself. It was heaven! I then woke up and decided I wanted macaroni shells and cheese and some chocolate chip cookies with nuts. I text my wonderful husband at work and he went to TWO different stores after work just to get what I wanted. He's the best!

Went to the doctor Thursday. So glad that I am done rotating through the doctors so I got to see Dr. Otey again! Finally! He's my favorite. He gets me and understands what I need to hear. He also lets me see my labs and ultrasound results, etc. He isn't bothered by having a nurse as a patient. My blood pressure was up a little so he has said I can only work 2-3 days a week and we will keep an eye on it. Also I have made even more progress this week (80% effaced and 1 cm dilated) so he told me to start taking it easy more. I asked it nesting like a crazy person and feeling the need to have my house spotless every time I leave just in case I go into labor counts as taking it easy. He said no. Stephen was very happy to hear this cause I am really about to drive him crazy. Bless him! I was very good yesterday and did nothing productive until last night. I even took two naps. Today I plan to do nothing but blog, pinterest and go to the pool in a couple hours. Trying to be good since everyone is out of town this weekend and I have been told I cannot have him until they get back.

Random side note: As I write this, I am watching "Throw down Thanksgiving Feast" between Bobby Flay and Ree Drummond. It has been on my DVR since the day before I found out I was pregnant. Yes, its July 4th weekend and I am watching a thanksgiving special but there is nothing on and I love Ree.
